Portraits of my Children | 20/52

Wow, the first time all month that I’ve managed to get one of these posts up on time. To be honest I think it’s just because I couldn’t wait to share these photos as I love them both so much. Both photos this week were taken on our trip down to visit family in Dorset and we were so lucky with the weather, it certainly made me miss living by the sea. I can’t believe how big both Lyra and Athena are getting. Lyra has certainly developed her own sense of style in the past few weeks and it always includes a dress and a hat! Athena is now walking more and more. She’s still quite unsure on uneven ground outside so holds our hands but in the house she is definitely walking more than crawling these days. We’re also on the countdown to her first birthday at the end of the month. How did that happen?!

Linking up with What the Redhead Said. This is my second full year of sharing a portrait every week of the girls so here are their portraits from 2017 and here are their portraits from 2016.

They grow and change so much at this age don’t they. Isla learnt how to walk just before her first birthday at the start of the month. She still prefers to hold our hands at the moment though, but she’s always so proud of herself when she does walk on her own

Oh I can see why you couldn’t wait to share these photos, they’re both so lovely! Athena looks so pleased with herself, so happy to be walking! x #LivingArrows
