My Family in March | Me and Mine

March was a good month for my little family. In my February Me and Mine I talked about how we were trying to get used to having our weekends together halved by me returning to work but I feel like we’ve really found our groove again this month. I mean, Sundays still go ridiculously fast for us but the pressure to make it the greatest ever day each week has decreased.

We managed to get out on lots of little adventures each week and had a long weekend in Wales together to celebrate Matt’s birthday. The blog has been a little neglected this month though which is a shame but I’m slowly getting back on top of it and I’m sure one of these months I’ll manage to balance everything (maybe?!). I also really struggled to get a decent photo of us all this month as you can see. Trying to get both children to look at the camera at the same time is too much for me apparently. I love these pictures though, the top three were all taken on Mother’s Day and it felt like the start of warmer weather. It made me so excited for the summer and being able to go out without our big coats on. The bottom picture is probably a more accurate depiction of the weather in March though.

April is a big month for us as Lyra turns three! Eek, how can she be three already? Her birthday is on Easter Monday this year which is nice since Matt will have a few days off and we can make a proper celebration of it. We’ve also got a visit from my brother and my sister in law planned at the beginning of the month which I’m really excited for as they moved to New Zealand last year and so we haven’t seen them since October.

Wow three already? I always love the photos you take in the cot with the two of them. Great family photos. #meandmine

Oh I am glad you’ve started to find your groove on the new normal – things always take a while to shake down and then suddenly you realise that whatever it was that felt hard has become completely everyday!
