We have failed spectacularly this month with our family portraits. Despite us spending a weekend in the New Forest with family we didn’t get a nice picture of the four of us. The weather is definitely getting worse and it’s got to that time of year where it’s really difficult to take photos indoors so our family pictures this month are of us out adventuring. The only problem is that when we’re out and about Athena is wrapped up warm in the Ergo so every photo we’ve taken doesn’t show her face! Like I said, a spectacular fail.
All of these photos were taken at Avebury this month but actually at different times. We went at the beginning of the month and did a six mile walk to West Kennet Long Barrow and then popped back last weekend just for a short wander around the stones. Whilst we were there on Sunday Lyra spotted a big Christmas tree and so we had to take a photo of our reflection in one of the baubles. We just had to!
As you’ve probably noticed we’ve been out and about a lot in November and I’m hoping that continues into December. We’re heading to Bluestone in a couple of days and doing all of the festive activities there so I’m determined to get some family photos where you can actually see Athena. Nothing like aiming high, huh? We are well and truly in the festive spirit already and Bluestone is just going to add to it. We’ve decided to do Vlogmas (a video every day during December in the run up to Christmas) this year over on our YouTube channel to document our first Christmas as a family of four which I’m super excited about and also super nervous about too. I just hope we can manage it.
So there we have it, another month has just flown by and there’s only one month left of 2016. So scary how quickly it has gone.
