Portraits of my Children | 24/52

I haven’t taken as many photos as I thought I would this past week. In fact I’ve taken so few that I struggled to find one of each girl to use for this project and that hasn’t happened before. I guess it’s understandable, Athena isn’t yet two weeks old and we’re still settling in to life as a family of four. I find myself just staring at her, trying to memorise all of her features and quirks, and I forget to pick up my camera! I really need to make more of an effort to snap some photos of both of them this coming week because they are both changing so much all of the time.

The top photo of Lyra was taken whilst she was dancing on the lawn at the National Trust property Barrington Court on my birthday. She was in such a fun, cheeky mood that day and had us laughing non stop. I snapped the photo of Athena on one of our little walks we’d gone on in a break between rain showers. She looks so small in her pram but I know that she won’t fit in it for long as Lyra only managed 7 weeks in it. I’ll be sad when she outgrows her pram as although we mainly baby wear there’s something so lovely about pushing round a newborn in a pram!

Linking up with What the Redhead Said and her Living Arrows. You can catch up on previous weeks here.

Lyra looks like she's having the best time and Athena still looks so lovely and new! I'm not yet used to you having two photos to link up – it's lovely, isn't it?! 🙂 x
