It’s the end of June and my little family is now a family of four! Athena actually entered the world on the 31st May so we’ve had a whole month now to settle into a new sort of normal. I feel like in some ways this month has flown by but we’ve spent it slowly, just soaking up our new arrival. There have been a lot of days spent on the sofa just staring at her and watching Lyra love on her. And love on her she has, she is certainly an enthusiastic big sister!
We finally emerged from our little newborn induced haze last week to watch my little brother get married in London. I was pretty nervous about travelling up on the train and sharing a hotel room for two nights with a two year old and a three week old but it went remarkably smoothly. I mean, I got barely any sleep but since I’m not getting any at home anyway it wasn’t that different. I’ve struggled taking photos this month, especially of the four of us but I’ve been so focused on the moment that I’ve forgotten to pick up my camera as much. I’m hoping it gets easier to get photos of the four of us as I love looking back on our family pictures. Luckily my Dad took these ones of us at the wedding, I can’t stop looking at them. My family. My two children!
