A Portrait of my Child | 15/52

This little one turns two on Sunday. Two! I can hardly believe it. We’re actually going to London for her birthday weekend and, since we aren’t taking presents with us, we have been letting Lyra open them as and when she’s given them. This weekend her Grandad gave her a camera and to say she liked it would be a massive understatement. She immediately grabbed it as soon as the batteries were put in and started pressing all of the buttons, trying to figure out how it works. We took the camera out on Sunday with us and Lyra loved running around trying to take photos. I say trying because most of the pictures are of her forehead, her coat or the floor but I loved seeing her so excited and can’t wait to see what she photographs next.

Linking up with Practising Simplicity and her 52 Project as well What the Redhead Said Living Arrows. You can catch up on previous weeks here.

Such sweet photos! A child-friendly camera is on my list of things to get for my children, I think they would react in the same way as your daughter. I hope she has a lovely birthday! x #LivingArrows

We have that camera and the children adore it – the quality isn't great but they just love being able to take their own photos. She looks like a budding photographer – or a blogger in training! x
