We’re Baking Something Special!

Last Wednesday it was mine and Matt’s fourth wedding anniversary and he took the day off so that we could spend it together as a family. The weather wasn’t great so we decided to stay in and bake something together. Lyra is at the age now that she loves getting stuck in and messy whilst baking and whilst that can sometimes be quite stressful she is just so happy doing it that it makes all of the chaos she creates worthwhile.

Since it was our anniversary we thought that we just had to bake something special to celebrate. And so we decided it would be the perfect opportunity to share with you all a little secret that our family has been keeping. So here goes…

Yes! So that’s our very exciting news, we are joining this apparent blogger baby boom that’s going on at the moment. We are over the moon and already head over heels in love with this little one. I’m so excited to see Lyra become a big sister, I know that she’s going to be such a good one.

It feels so good to finally have it out in the open and be able to talk about it. It’s the reason things have been so quiet over here on the blog recently and why I’ve kind of disappeared from Instagram. But I’m slowly emerging from that first trimester haze and can’t wait to add pregnancy updates here. In fact there will be a post and video tomorrow about finding out I was pregnant, the 12 week scan and the first trimester.

Sorry, I just had to post one last photo because look at those two! It’s almost too much for this hormonal mama!
