When I first saw this top photo after I’d copied it to my laptop I was shocked. To me it feels like I’m looking into the future, seeing my daughter as she might be as an older child (although I’m really hoping that she has some more hair by then). I don’t know whether it’s the serious expression or the way that she’s staring straight at the camera but I can’t stop looking at it. The baby in her is so quickly disappearing and I know that soon enough I’ll be shocked when I glance at the photos of her newborn self that hang on our walls.

Oh, and since the first two photos are so serious I had to share one of her smiling as well!

Aww she's adorable in all of them, and I know what you mean about seeing a ghost of her grown up self – I see it in my girls too and it's so funny now looking back at pictures of Kitty as a baby where there is that grown up-ness about her and it looks exactly like she does now!
