I’ve now been on Methotrexate for six weeks so thought it was time to update you all on how it’s working (or not working) and also any side effects I’ve experienced. I filmed a video to explain everything but just in case you were unaware that I had a YouTube channel I wanted to make sure it was on here too.

Happy New Year! 2017 just flew by and I can’t believe that it’s already over. I have to admit that I was asleep before midnight last night but we were up bright and early to watch the sunrise. Getting up to watch the sunrise on New Year’s Day is a tradition that we started last year and since it went so well then we were excited to repeat it again this year. The skies were absolutely stunning last time so we had high hopes for this morning. Unfortunately the weather was so much cloudier this year which meant that we…

1/52 So here we are. A shiny new year and my first portraits of the girls in 2018. Last year’s attempts at this project failed spectacularly but I managed in 2016 and I’m determined to do it again. So without further ado. LYRA | The sheer joy that can be found from a low hanging branch on a windy New Year’s Day walk. ATHENA | An extremely muddy walk meant a free ride for the family member with the shortest legs otherwise we may have lost her in it!   Linking up with What the Redhead Said. This is my…

As a family we love getting outdoors and we try not to let bad weather stop us. Even so we still find it difficult sometimes to get out and about during the colder months. It can be hard to leave our nice warm house for long walks in the woods but I know that all four of us are much happier when we’ve spent some time outside. I think the key to getting out with little ones in the winter is try not to stray too far from home and to centre your time outside around an activity or two…

Our most recent trip to Heaven’s Gate on the Longleat Estate was a little while ago to be honest but, due to recent circumstances, I hadn’t blogged about it. These photos were just too cute not to share though and it was such a perfect day so please indulge me. This day will forever be etched into my memory. The first day that my girls walked through the woods hand in hand. Just looking at these photos melts my heart a little and I will definitely print one of these out to go up on our walls at some point…

Since I began this blog it has always just been a place to document my life as a mother. I shared our adventures and happy times but have never really got too personal. And then this year my health got worse, which I’ll get into in a moment, and it kind of turned everything upside down for me. I was no longer sure of who I was and what I wanted to do, there were less fun outdoor adventures in my life and so this blog became a little neglected. Real life took over and all of the time that…

45/52 More outdoor adventures from us this week as the weather has been pretty kind to us. We headed to one of favourite places, Dyrham Park, to take part in their Halloween trail as Lyra loves a National Trust kid’s trail. Lyra’s photo was taken as she was running back to tell me the next clue and I love her tongue sticking out! She was also wearing jeans for the first time in months and she looks so grown up. When we arrived they actually asked if she was five! Please slow down little one, you’re only three and a…

Here we are, the end of October already. I was reading back the last Me and Mine that I did back in August and I mention how ready to throw myself back into my blog I felt. That clearly didn’t happen but I’m feeling more optimistic about the future of this blog now. I’ve had a rough few months with my health which I go into much more detail in in this video which meant that getting out and about was more difficult. I suffer with Psoriatic Arthritis and have been struggling to walk most days. All of my energy…
