Happy first birthday to our littlest lady! I cannot believe that she has been with us for twelve months already. This past year has absolutely flown by and yet it feels like that she has been a part of our lives for so much longer. Similar to what we did on Lyra’s third birthday we’ve compiled a little collection of clips to document her first year. It’s so lovely to see her go from that little newborn to the loud, energetic toddler she is now! Happy Birthday Athena Grace! We love you, Very Much So xx

Once again another month has flown by! I cannot keep up with this year. This month’s photos are some of my favourites that we’ve ever managed to take of our family. I mean, they’re probably the first ones where we are all looking at the camera! These pictures were taken on a recent trip to the woods and we had such a fun day. Athena is now walking 90% of the time around the house so we put her in wellies for the first time. How cute are little ones in yellow wellies?! I love it and now think that…

Dearest Athena, How are you already turning one my littlest darling?! It feels like only yesterday that I was writing a letter to Lyra on the eve of her first birthday and yet now she is three and it is you that we celebrate tomorrow. This time last year I was already having a few contractions but was most definitely in denial that you were on your way. After all, your sister kept me waiting with four whole days of contractions before she made her appearance. That, Athena, was my first mistake. Comparing you to your big sister has always…

22/52 The weather has been beautiful this week and we’ve been loving every second of it! Both of this week’s photos were taken on a trip to the park one morning in the glorious sunshine. In fact I think that they were both taken before 10am and it was already warm enough to be without jackets! It’s really hard at the moment to get a natural photo of Lyra. She is going through a stage where she pulls a stupid face as soon as she sees the camera pointing at her which is probably why most of my photos of…

21/52 Oh, I do love a day spent in the woods. Both of this week’s photos were taken yesterday whilst we were exploring Stockhill Woods and to be honest I hadn’t really taken many photos the rest of the week so I’m glad we had a good day out. Our whole household came down with stinking colds but it really hit Athena the hardest as she’s been pretty lucky and never really had a cold before. She doesn’t sleep well at the best of times but she was up countless times during the night and just miserable during the day.…

I haven’t been very good recently at sharing our little adventures on here. I usually manage to share a picture or two on Instagram but for some reason I’ve been finding it difficult to sit down and write about them. It might be something to do with my littlest still refusing to sleep more than two hours at a time day or night but I am determined to make an effort to start doing these posts more regularly again as these are the posts that I’m going to want to reread, to look through the photos when my children are…

I think that this month has been my very favourite as a mother of two. I can’t put my finger on exactly why that is but I think it’s just a combination of the girls both getting a little older and Athena starting walking. I’m not sure, but the girls have been undeniably cute together. In fact I think this month’s photos sum up things at the moment. These photos were taken on our recent trip to Folly Farm in Wales. Athena was in the pushchair most of the day but since it was quiet we let her get out…

20/52 Wow, the first time all month that I’ve managed to get one of these posts up on time. To be honest I think it’s just because I couldn’t wait to share these photos as I love them both so much. Both photos this week were taken on our trip down to visit family in Dorset and we were so lucky with the weather, it certainly made me miss living by the sea. I can’t believe how big both Lyra and Athena are getting. Lyra has certainly developed her own sense of style in the past few weeks and it…
