I can’t believe that February is over already. I know it’s the shortest month but that was just ridiculous! This month has been a period of adjustment for my little family as I went back to work at the beginning of it. I’ve only gone back one day a week but due to childcare issues that day had to be a Saturday. And that means that our weekend together is now just one short day. That felt like a lot of pressure to begin with and Matt had to get used to having the girls alone for 10 hours on a Saturday whilst I worked but I think that now, at the end of the month, we’re slowly beginning to find our new rhythm.
Our family photos for this month were taken just this last Sunday when we spent the morning in the woods. Unusually for us Matt and I were both wearing completely the wrong footwear but Lyra was well prepared and loved stomping through the woods and splashing in puddles. Athena slept almost the entire way round so she’s once again been reduced to just a shot of the back of her head in these photos. I can’t wait for the days when she’s walking along next to us and we can get a decent shot of the four of us. Although I guess at that point both children will be running off in different directions and I’ll find it even harder!
I’m so glad we managed to get out and about for our family photos this month and now that February is behind us I can feel Spring edging in. March for us means Matt’s birthday and a long weekend in Wales which I know we’re all excited for. Bring on March and hopefully some warmer weather.
